Update

In addition to the meeting mentioned in the first post, we have had a couple of meetings that have produced a Mission Statement and three meetings of the committee designated to pursue non-profit status. The Board of Directors' membership is almost finalized, and we have (subject to pending approval of the board) chosen officers. At our next meeting on July 25, we will be hashing out incorporation details. If all goes well we will be incorporated in a few weeks and thus able to open a bank account. And the Cape School will exist once more. The spirit has been there all along; it just needs a new body.

  1. The Cape School of art is now incorperated and registered with the state of Ma. as a non-profit corperation. We are filling out forms to apply for our 501c3 tax exempt satus, and exploring fund raising. We plan to begin classes next summer. Our need now is a space in Provincetown to teach classes both inside and outside for next summer.
